Bill Morrison has been called “one of the most adventurous American filmmakers” (Variety, 12/11/11). Best known for his 2002 feature Decasia, Morrison has built a filmography of more than thirty projects that have been presented in theaters, museums, and concert halls worldwide, often pairing archival film material with contemporary scores. Spark of Being (68 min, 2010), a collaboration with Dave Douglas, screened at the AFI Festival in Los Angeles in November 2011, was named best independent / experimental film of 2011 by the Los Angeles’ Film Critics Association.
