Letizia Muratori (b. 1972 in Rome), is a novelist and journalist who made her debut as a young author in 2004 with the short story “Saro e Sara”, published by Einaudi in the anthology Ragazze che dovresti conoscere. In 2005 she published her first novel, Tu non c'entri, followed in 2007 by La vita in comune, both with Einaudi. In 2008 she moved to Adelphi, with whom she published La casa madre, made up of two novellas that explore the theme of childhood: the first, which lends its title to the book, reflects on the commercial success of the Cabbage Patch Kids craze in the '80s, while the second is titled “Il segreto” (“The Secret”). In 2009 she published the novel Il giorno dell'indipendenza, followed in 2010 by Sole senza nessuno, centred on the world of fashion.
