Literature

After majoring in Italian and Philosophy Vincenzo Latronico (Roma, 1984) worked for one year on a Ph.D., before putting it on hold. Among his Italian translations are works of Hanif Kureishi (with Ivan Cotroneo), Markus Miessen, Maxence Fermine, Seth Price, a.a.ammons, Max Beerbohm and Rudolf Carnap (with Renato Pettoello). His first novel, Ginnastica e rivoluzione, was published in Italy in 2008 (Bompiani). The second novel, La cospirazione delle colombe, came out in May 2011. He has also published a theater play, Linee guida sulla ferocia, which has been translated into German. He has written, with Raymond Queneau's combinatorial support, a collection of 32.768 love stories which has traveled a bit, in Italian, English and German; he hosted an almost satyrical radio programme, with Kurt Vonnegut's immortal soul, for over a year. He curated the literary section of the 2010 edition of the Artissima fair and an (almost) permanent seminar on autofiction, in Kaleidoscope's space. His art writing has been published on Domus, Kaleidoscope, Flash Art and frieze.
